Copy & Paste Portal Rows

There’s an addictive quality to solving problems within FileMaker. Especially, when you wire things up to the user interface. Click the button, and what would have taken many times longer, is shortened into a few milliseconds of time.

It quite literally feels like you’re a magician - at least to this developer. So, when developing a solution the other day, and needing to copy the contents of one portal over to another, I quickly came up with a solution and put it into place.

Within about a half an hour, things were pretty close to how I’d like them to work. The result of that effort is now ready for you to learn from - and add yet one more tool to your arsenal. So, if you’ve ever had the need to duplicate a related set of data then give this video a try.

I have looked at the file and will be using it. i Have a invoicing database and can see this will be helpful when changing estimate to invoice. But i also have purchase orders and a productInvoice layout is there a video that shows me how to copy a portal row from my purchase order and then paste it into the productinvoice as my purchase order can have many items for different invoices. I hope i have made myself understood, am not sure to who i should direct this query to any help would be appreciated
Thanks

I got it to work just fine. I can't figure out how you got the name $$LINES,COPIED.PATH. I want to put another portal in the same layout and use your solution but can't figure out how to change that name. This is my first time using scripts.
