If you have a few hours to burn, (I would suggest taking your time with this one <grin>) then you may pick up some new information about FileMaker products or services you formerly didn't know about.

Over the few days of Devcon, I spent some time walking around to most all of the vendors at the 2008 FileMaker Developer's Conference. I gave each vendor about 5 minutes to talk about what they had that might be of interest to users and developers of FileMaker.

FileMaker 9 Arrives!

Guess what! FileMaker, Inc. updated their website today. Typically, this wouldn’t be any big deal. However, today, it has nice new graphic which might be of interest to you.

Yep, that’s FileMaker 9 you see there on the front page. Get ready, because there’s a lot of new features coming your way.

If you’re looking for the quick overview of new features (not the detailed info) then clicking the link will give you a PDF provided by FileMaker.

There’s also likely to be a storm of tips and tricks about the new version, as beta testers (no, I wasn’t one of them for some reason) rush to be the first to get out their goods. One person in particular, who has great techincal chops, is Geoff Coffey. He’s got a new website with a few FileMaker 9 tips.
