Making Magic With Gradients

Using graphics within a FileMaker Pro layout requires knowledge about how those graphics will affect network performance on a multi-user database. When a database is shared over a network, optimizing graphics provides us with a clue about how to optimize a more universal type of graphic - gradients. Creating optimized gradients for FileMaker Pro, whether using Photoshop, Photoshop Elements or some other photo editing program, is a useful skill to have.

This video article covers the variety of issues you need to be aware of when either using or creating your own custom gradients. Included with this article is a gradient based user interface file which you are welcome to use royalty free.
