Using graphics within a FileMaker Pro layout requires knowledge about how those graphics will affect network performance on a multi-user database. When a database is shared over a network, optimizing graphics provides us with a clue about how to optimize a more universal type of graphic - gradients. Creating optimized gradients for FileMaker Pro, whether using Photoshop, Photoshop Elements or some other photo editing program, is a useful skill to have. This video article covers the variety of issues you need to be aware of when either using or creating your own custom gradients.
